The Catechist Certification Program: This is a certification program for Catholic school teachers, religious education instructors, or anyone interested in learning more about their Catholic faith. In an intensive week, we will explore dogma (Trinity, Christology), scripture, and the teaching of religion. Our purpose is both the enrichment of the teacher and the acquisition of methodology for use in the classroom. The two walk hand-in-hand, for we cannot give what we do not have. Knowledge and instruction are codependent. At the conclusion of the week, participants will receive a certificate as a teacher of Catholic religion and/or a catechist. The Archdiocese of Seattle has approved this program. |
