have a walking tour of the library
Receive an orientation to library services and staff.
Work on an assignment based on the The Highest Tide that requires finding specified material using library resources to support that topic.
Receive an overview of the resources to be used to accomplish the assignment including the library catalog and the Academic Search Premier database.

Discuss types of information including differences between scholarly/academic resources and popular resources, and differences between books, journal articles, newspaper articles & trade publications.
Discuss evaluation of resources, including internet resources, and why evaluating information is important in an academic setting.
