Here you'll find information about courses Professor Stout teaches in the school of business and school of engineering at Saint Martin's University in Lacey, Washington. 

In addition to his teaching duties, Stout serves as chair of the management department. He is a senator-at-large of the faculty senate and serves on the faculty advancement committee. He recently completed service as the university's faculty president. He is a past member of the faculty affairs committee, the budget committee, the educational policies and curriculum committee, the academic computing advisory council, the Title III grant steering committee, the accreditation self-study steering committee and the university's general education task force charged with evaluating and revising the university's general education program.

Stout was chosen to receive the Monks of Saint Martin's Abbey Outstanding Faculty Award   - the university's top teaching honor - as  faculty member of the year for 2002. Presentation of this award was made at the year-end honors convocation.  Stout was chosen as the student government's 2003 Advocate of the Year.  Stout has also been named a Faculty Fellow  in the Saint Martin's University honor society, the Society of Fellows.

Professor Stout  was an active member of the Catholic Identity Planning Group which developed a plan of action that seeks to enable the Saint Martin's University community to both understand and live the University mission as a Catholic, Benedictine institution of higher education.

Stout is a member of the American Association of University Professors, the American Society of Engineering Management, a life member of Tau Beta Pi, the national engineering honorary, Chi Epsilon, the national civil engineering honor society, and the university honor society, the Society of Fellows.
