SAINT MARTIN'S COLLEGE: Associate Professor - Education Division. Director of the M.Ed. School Counseling strand. Teach M.Ed. graduate level courses mainly in counseling. Also teach research classes and educational technology classes. Supervise masters degree counseling practicum and masters projects. Aug. 1989-present.
SAINT MARTIN'S-McChord Extension: Part-Time Instructor. Taught Statistics, Advanced Statistics, Marriage and Family, Sex Race and Disability, and Child Welfare. 1988-1989.
PIERCE COLLEGE: McChord AFB. Part-Time instructor. Taught Drugs and Society, Intro. Sociology (twice), Intro. to Microcomputers, BASIC programming, and Business Mathematics. 1988-1989.
ANTIOCH COLLEGE: Field Advisor. Supervised Masters degree group counseling internship and taught tutorial statistics course. 1983.
CHAPMAN COLLEGE: PROGRAM AFLOAT FOR COLLEGE EDUCATION. Taught 8 semesters of Psychology and Sociology courses on U.S. Navy ships deployed in the Pacific Ocean. Traveled to Philippines, Singapore, Hong Kong, Kenya and Japan. 1981-1983.

Washington Counseling Association. Currently President of the Washington Counseling Association. Elected Treasurer and served on the Board from 1995-1998. Elected President for service from 1998-2000. The Washington Counseling Association is the umbrella organization for counselors in the state of Washington and consists of approximately 800 member in the following Divisions: Mental Health, School Counseling, Career Counseling, Multicultural Counseling and Ethical and Spiritual Values.

Grants:
Generation Why Grant. Involved SMC students in Olympia School Districts Generation Why Grant, which uses students in public schools to teach teachers in the use of Internet for the development of lesson plans. Included Generation Why visits as part of my Internet Class. 1997-1998.
Eisenhower grant. Taught Internet to Teachers in summer workshops, assisted in helping schools in Science and Math Curriculum. 95-96.
Wrote a grant proposal for using whole language approaches, community involvement, and computers for at-risk students elementary school students. 1991.
Consulting:
(1) Assisted Challenger High School in evaluating the uses for computers in their curriculum and developed an administrative Hypercard stack for their use. 1991-1992.
(2) Designed a Macintosh version of WOIS, the career information service that is being used in over 150 High Schools throughout the state. The Hypercard version I developed is much more flexible than the previous IBM version and is hypertext based. 1992- 1995.
(3) Have developed a Hypercard based student and parent contact management program over the last 9 years that is currently being used in over 70 Washington state schools.

M.Ed. selection committee. Reviewed applications and made recommendations concerning acceptance for all candidates to the M.Ed. program. 1989 to present.
Served as Executive Secretary of the School Counselor Professional Education Advisory Board. 1989-Present.
Donated several thousand dollars worth of software to the SMC computer center.
Community Service
Tacoma School District. Donated at least a 1000 hours over the last 10 years in helping teachers use computer technology and Internet technology in classrooms, run career fairs in schools, and help however I could. I also served on the Tacoma School District's Instructional Technology Advisory Committee from 1989-1992.
Raised money for Soccer, Baseball, and Football youth leagues.
Other Work Experience (15 Years)
Dr. Dan Windisch, WinSoft. Provide Computer software development and consulting services to school districts. Designed Macintosh programs for Computer Assisted Instructions (States & Capitals), school counselors and administrators (FAST!), and a state wide occupation information service (Washington Occupation Information Service - WOIS). 89-present.
BDM Management Services Corporation: Training Development Specialist on Advanced Technology Testbed contract at Fort Lewis Washington. 7/87 to 8/88. Developed state-of-the-art training using a combination of graphics-intensive conventional training, computer-based training, and artificial-intelligence/expert-systems training.
CIVIL SERVICE: Research Psychologist for U.S. Civil Service (GS-12): Navy Personnel Research and Development Center-Training Technology Branch, San Diego. Researched uses of microcomputers for education and training. Assisted in the design of an interactive video project for training Action Officers on the Joint Chiefs of Staff in Washington D.C. Prior to that I was responsible for the redesign of an educational testing program at Trident Training Facility in Bangor, WA. 1984-1987.
SCHOOL COUNSELOR, Puyallup School District. Worked as a school counselor under a .3 time contract at the Puyallup Alternative School. 1990-1991.
COMMUNITY ALCOHOL CENTER, Longview, WA: COUNSELOR. Provided counseling to alcoholics and their families. Also provided lectures and presentations on alcohol-related subjects.
COUNSELING AND ASSISTANCE CENTER, Norfolk, VA: COUNSELOR. Provided group and individual counseling to Navy drug abusers. Also provided paraprofessional counselor training to 5 counseling staff members.
PIERCE COUNTY CHILD GUIDANCE CLINIC, Tacoma, WA: SOCIAL WORK INTERNSHIP. Provided child and family counseling in an agency setting.
WASHINGTON STATE UNIVERSITY: DOCTORAL SUPERVISED INDIVIDUAL COUNSELING INTERNSHIP. Provided individual counseling at the university counseling center. Also provided career counseling to students in a community college counseling center.
WASHINGTON STATE UNIVERSITY: HEAD RESIDENT. Full time, two-year position, with overall responsibility for counseling in a 420-man dormitory. Taught paraprofessional counseling skills to 10 member dormitory staff.
