Master of Arts in Counseling Psychology ("MAC")
Welcome to the Ellis Family Webpage. Since you're here, you must have some interest in finding out about us and our family. Hopefully, this web page will give you some idea of who we are. The
Ellis family consists of Godfrey J. Ellis, Director of the MAC Program at
Saint Martin's University and Merry E. (Huntamer) Ellis. We have been
married 35 years and make a good team. We have four wonderful sons,
four great
daughters-in-law, and nine darling grandchildren.
Below is an older photo (taken in 2000) of our sons, with links to a page on each of them.

G. Ellis (32) ER Nurse at St. Peter's Hospital in Lacey,
WA Braden
J. Ellis (28) ER Nurse at St. Clare's Hospital in
Lakewood, WA Devon
L. Ellis (32) Computer programmer at Microsoft in Redmond,
WA In addition to
our family, Merry and I
share a number of interests. The main one is our commitment to the
Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints (incorrectly nicknamed,
Mormon). We are also passionate about family
history and genealogy and have links to our four major ancestral lines (Ellis,
Brown, Huntamer, and Lowman).
We have taken several genealogy trips to England
to learn more about our ancestors. We share an avid interest in
our own research and in helping other. We both enjoy traveling and both speak
French. In 1995, we took our two youngest sons on an 8-month sabbatical
to France.
In 1996, I went on a 5-week faculty exchange to
China to teach English to young
children, which
continued an interest we have both shared in the language and culture of China
starting some 30 years ago. I took groups of graduate counseling
students to China in 2006 and again in 2008. Another hobby I
enjoy is painting in acrylics. I do three or four and then nothing
for a few years. Merry encourages me but doesn't try painting
herself. I have included a number of my acrylic
paintings here. We have a couple of
pages giving mini biographies for Merry and for
me ...so, if you're really desperate for something to read, you can
look there, too. Back to the Godfrey Ellis
