The Ellis Page Exchange to China
|
Master of Arts in Counseling Psychology ("MAC") Faculty Exchange to China (cont.) After the two weeks of teaching the children, we had three weeks of travelling throughout China. We saw the Leshan Buddah and climbed Mount Emai.  We also visited a large preserve
for the famous Giant Pandas and were able to pet
one.
We saw the impressive tomb at Xian with the thousand of terra cotta warriors. Here I am at a factory making large, life-size replicas of the 2000+ year old statues as well as small souvenir copies for tourists.
But the highlight still had to be the Great Wall of China.
It was an incredible experience to stand on this marvel first built 4,000 years ago. It was overwhelming -- much more than I had expected it would be.
