Course covers modeling of mechanical and electrical lumped parameter elements and systems, steady state analysis and application to design of engineering systems.  Introduction to techniques in identifying basic system elements and analogy among electrical, mechanical, torsional, thermal and fluid elements.  Course also covers formulation of the dynamic system using constitutive equations, compatibility equations and continuity equations.  Analytical and numerical solution methods are emphasized.  Laplace transform method, feedback system and stability criteria will be introduced.  Group design project will be conducted to reinforce theory.  Prerequisites: MTH 322, GE 205
