Team Goals

The Teams goal is to deliver a commuter vehicle that meets or exceeds all safety standards and achieves approximately 60 mpg, thereby reducing our dependency on fossil fuels.  It will hold two passengers for a commute of at least 50 miles without the need to re-fuel and will not lose power on a 1:20 grade while maintaining at least 60 mph.

To do this we will build an independent high efficiency fuel drive that will run the vehicle on the free way with an independent electric drive that will carry the vehicle through the city and bumper to bumper traffic (Independent drive shafts or single drive shaft are yet to be determined).  An additional benefit to this technology is that it could lead to an easy conversion on existing vehicles from fuel to fuel-electric.
