The Problem

Because of the urban nature of conflicts overseas, many injuries are different than they were in prior military engagements.   In addition, there is a higher percentage today of women in the military than in earlier times. One of the leading causes of injury for both males and females result from the use of IED's.  Considering the preceding factors, we are attempting to solve the problem stated below.

  • Develop a mode of transportation for a female paraplegic, who maintains full control of one arm and hand while having a minimal range of motion in the other arm and hand.
  • She also suffers from Post Traumatic Stress Disorder(PTSD), causing her to be sensitive to loud and sudden noises.
