PHI DELTA KAPPA SUMMER CONFERENCE & EXPO
AUGUST 8-9, 2002

CREATE EMOTIONALLY & PHYSICALLY SAFE
ENVIRONMENTS FOR LEARNING

You are invited to participate in a wonderful conference jointly sponsored by Phi Delta Kappa International’s Western Washington chapters, City University, and the International Association for Self-Esteem. The conference will begin on August 8th with Pre-Conference Seminars by leading educational practitioners, anti-violence and harassment coalition trainers, and safe schools experts. Our speakers, led by Jack Canfield, creator of the popular Chicken Soup for the Soul books and program will inspire and teach us how we can prepare for daily challenges and the creation of a safer and more productive learning environment.

This conference will provide participants with the opportunity to interact with authorities who teach, practice, research and promote these leadership, educational and problem solving concepts, behaviors and skills.

We invite and encourage you to read the enclosed conference registration information and come and arm yourself with hundreds of innovative and practical strategies for use in our own lives as well as our efforts to help children and youth who are at risk of school and social failure.
