The act of voting is perhaps the most vital tenant of democracy. That's why our political system is theoretically called a Participatory democracy when in fact to a large degree it is non-participatory. Votes determine the composition of our representative democracy. If you do not vote you help weaken our democracy and invite the fascist future our corporate elite would like.
