A. Mission/Vision
  • To share department and division information to improve campus communications and enhance inter-office relationships to support the College more efficiently and effectively.
B. Goals
  • Provide services to Saint Martin's College to benefit the Saint Martin's College community as voted on by members of the Staff Network.
  • To build social skills, values, communication and human relations within the Saint Martin's community.
  • To enhance leadership and administrative skills as well as educational knowledge within the members of the Staff Network
  C. Common Policies
  • Attendance is encouraged however is voluntary.
  • Items specified by group members as CONFIDENTIAL will remain within the group, and will not be discussed nor published within the Saint Martin's Community.
  • No project will be assigned to the Staff Network without the consent of the majority of members present at any given meeting.
  D. Officers
  • A Committee Chairperson, Chairperson-elect, and a Secretary/Treasurer will be nominated, voted upon and appointed by the Association on an annual basis.
  • Each Officer must be an active member attending at least 8 or more meetings over a period of one year.
  • Each Officer must be a staff person at Saint Martin's College.
  • Should an officer be unable to complete his/her term, another officer will be elected to complete the remainder of the term.

     

    • Duties of the Committee Chairperson
      • Is responsible for planning meeting agendas
      • Is responsible for facilitating each monthly meeting
      • Assists the Secretary in his/her responsibilities when necessary
      • Oversees special projects and/or events as approved by the Staff Network
      • Acts as spokesperson for the Network when necessary, i.e. General Staff Meetings, Insights, etc.
         
    • Duties of the Chairperson Elect
      • Is responsible for facilitating each monthly meeting in the absence of the Chairperson
      • Assists the Secretary in his/her responsibilities when necessary
      • Oversees special projects and/or events with the Chairperson as approved by the Staff Network
      • Acts as spokesperson for the Staff Network in the absence of the Chairperson.
         
    • Duties of the Secretary/Treasurer
      • Give due advance notice of all Staff Network meetings to the members
      • Record accurate minutes in relation to the Staff Network except when Chairperson requests otherwise.
      • Types and distributes monthly minutes electronically to the Staff Network members.
