Responsible Use of Technology Plan
With computers becoming so mainstream and the use of them mandatory across many levels, a responsible technology plan for my classroom would include at the very least a computer for every three students. A schedule would have to be worked out for each student to have adequate time to work on the computer. A list of critical rules for the use of the technology such as websites to access, times for specific subjects to be studied, etc. I would implement the use of computer as often as possible so that I can expose my students to the varied uses of the Internet, software applications, and educational games. I know that each student learns in different ways. I would give my students access to information that is relevant to their specific learning needs. For example, if a student needs extra help with multiplication tables, then I would direct that student to use a software that focuses on drill and practice. I want to give my students the best chance possible to succeed. I believe that integration of technology into the daily classroom instruction is the best way to teach students.
