Have you ever wonder where all the buffalo went? In this web quest will help students explore how an animal becomes endangered. Students are going to gather information and facts about American bison and then complete different activities about the bison.
The students will complete 2 out of the 3 activities about the bison. You will complete a worksheet by answering all the question on the bison worksheet using the web sites listed below for help, and then draw a picture of what a bison looks like and the place where they live. After you are finished with the bison worksheet, you can then pick 1 of the other two activities. A bison coloring page or a endangered species word search.
First print off the bison worksheet, then go to the web sites below, use the web sites to fill out the worksheet, when finished with the bison worksheet turn it into the work basket. When worksheet is done and turned in, pick one of the other two activities to work on either the, bison coloring page the bison word search. After you pick an activity print off the page, then start working on that activity. When finished with the activity turn it into the work basket, then sit at you desk and work on other assignments or read quietly.

When students are finished with the web quest, they will have a better understanding of the different animals that are endangered. They will also learn so facts about each animal. Students will also gain the knowledge about how important each animal is and the why they need protection.
