I was born and raised in Wrangell, Alaska to Dan and Twyla. I have an older sister and brother and a younger sister. We lived on a small island in South East Alaska with a population of 2,000. After graduating from Wrangell High School in 1990 I decided to leave Alaska and travel "down south". I was accepted at PLU in Tacoma, Washington and spent one semester there before I became homesick and returned to Alaska. I finished up my Associates of Arts at the University of Alaska South East. While I was attending the UASE, I married my husband. Together we moved back to Washington so that I could attend Saint Martin's College and further my education. In 1995 I received my Bachelor's of Arts Degree in Community Service. I was immediately hired at Maple Lane School were I worked as an Intermittent, Case Aide, Counselor and Supervisor for court committed male juvenile offenders. During this time my husband and I had our first and only son. I then transferred to Oakridge State Community Facility so that I could continue to work with juvenile offenders in a safer and more family friendly environment. I have worked 12 years for the State of Washington, married 15 years and have a 8 year old son. I love waking up everyday and having coffee with my son (he has cocoa). We love going to movies together, going for walks, and just doing whatever we can as a family. Thanks, Staci
