My thought on developing a Student Needs Assesment is to try not to re-invent the wheel. If there is already a validated needs assessment out there, I need to find it. This assessment is from the School Improvement Guide posted on the OSPI website. I think I would continue to look further to find one that has specifically been used to gather drop-out trends. Although this assessment should give a good general overview of the school.
