The School Improvement Planning (SIP) Process has been developed jointly by OSPI, ESDs, and school districts. It is one of several approaches to school improvement planning that districts may choose to use. The process is cyclical, and includes these 8 steps:
• Collect, Sort, and Select Data • Build and Analyze the School Portfolio • Set and Prioritize Goals • Research and Select Best Practices • Craft Action Plans • Monitor Implementation of the Plan • Evaluate Impact on Student Achievement The website includes: School Improvement Planning links/tools, SIP Contacts, SIP Materials, Planning Requirements, SIP Links, and a Web Tool. | The PowerPoint appeared to be very informative. This would help a visual person guide themselves through the process. It demonstrates the step by step process of completing OSPI's automated School Improvement Plan and Action Plan. Once entered, you can edit, track and also produce a report with the results. Someone spent a lot of time working on this the webtool. |
